    Hi guys,

This test is made to determinate whether answers are emotionally or rationally driven.

Of course from the emotionally point of view, nobody would ever like to kill anyone.

On the rational side instead, the choice is made on the evaluation of the least possible damage.

I believe that, if this test will be associated to an innovative project like the automatic driven car, the results will be able to tell whether, for this product, injuries can be accepted and the innovation so big to justify collateral damages to people or any other living creature.

For all vehicles used in the 20th century there have been rational acceptance of all possible accident; the only one not having passed general check war the Zeppelin.

All innovation have to pay its toll, just think of the space and medical discoveries.

    Have a nice weekend,

    Giorgio

    Hi everyone,

Talking about start-ups, we should consider the main authority in this field in Italy, “Invitalia”, investment bank belonging to the “Ministero del Tesoro”.

Invitalia is the National Agency for inward investment and economic development, owned by the Italian Ministry of Economy.

It manages all national incentives that encourage the creation of new companies and innovate start-ups. It finances projects both large and small, targeting entrepreneurs with concrete development plans, especially in innovate and high added value sectors.

It provides services to Public Administration to speed up the spending of EU and national funds, as well as to promote cultural heritage. It is the Purchasing Body and Contracting Authority for the execution of strategic actions at local level.

I want to share with you the call “Smart&Start Italia” http://www.smartstart.invitalia.it/site/smart/home/eng.html, dedicated to start-ups, with the purpose to facilitate the development of new projects in digital economy, environment, green energy and sustainable/innovative industrial processing.

The support consists of an interest-free loan covering capital investment and operating costs related to starting the business. For start-ups based in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily, a non-repayable contribution of 20% of the loan is envisaged.

What do you think about it?

    Have a nice weekend,

    Hi everyone,

with regard to the investment of start-ups in a country like China, I would like to report the testimonies of the participants to the meeting held at the Fondazione Novara Sviluppo in Novara about “A3Cube: big data, supercomputers, great success” I attended yesterday.

Dealing with the Asian continent is quite complicated. One of the main difficulties consists in establishing proper business relationships using their standards (business etiquette, basic language knowledge, general knowledge of their history and living habits which differ very strongly from ours). You need to have a resident trustful correspondent over there, with very good contacts in the places that count, i.e. the Government, Municipalities etc. You have to protect your ideas in the most efficient way, because projects and ideas you present, are very likely to be shared and exploited by the Chinese government on public platforms.

What do you think about it?

    Have a nice weekend,

    Hi everyone,

I had a look at the website indicated by the moderator concerning the new topic.

I found it very interesting and I went looking for info about the proceedings concerning plastic waste and its recycling in Italy. I found the organisation Corepla – Italian Consortium for the Collection and Recycling of Plastic, that represents the main companies dealing with the plastic waste and its reuse. Corepla, in addition to the whole process of plastic wastes’ management, within its R&D Division, sustains and finds resources to finance new ideas in this field and created a call named “Alla ricerca della plastica perduta” https://www.coreplacall.it/ . The results and the selected ideas will be presented on November 8 th 2018 in occasion of “Ecomondo Rimini”, one of the biggest and most important exhibitions dealing with environmental solutions http://www.corepla.it/news/premiazione-di-4-progetti-che-hanno-aderito-alla-call-ideas-corepla?page=37

Furthermore I found out that in Novara there is a company called Amut Group Spa, leader in the plastic recycling plants. All above refers to plastic generated by municipal and industrial wastes.

The biggest problem however, is the plastic waste dispersed in the environment without control.  This waste lands in rivers, lakes and oceans, forming enormous floating islands.

The Great Pacific garbage patch, also described as the Pacific trash vortex, is a floating cluster of debris in the central North Pacific Ocean.

Within the various ideas I stumbled on, I was very impressed by a system proposed by Boyan Slat and financed by several companies as well as crowd founding, aimed to reduce the plastic presence in Great Pacific Sea.

It started many years ago but only recently it turned into reality and will presumably

remove half of the Great Pacific garbage patch in just five years with lesser costs.

    Here below the link:

What do you think about this project? Will it be the solution?

Waiting for your comments, have a nice week.

    still a question mark.

If a friendly agreement will not be found all the start up will go away. This because they will not lose the advantages and the facilitations and the contributes from the European commission.

All start up could go to Dublin, Vienna or Barcelona because today they are the most attractive cities for the new companies. I could say Berlin for reasons of appeal too.In Italy, in Autonomous Regions like the city of Trieste, Bolzano or Trento and italian’s Southern Regions.Naturally, it will depend on the offers that single countries will do.

What do you think about it?

    Hi everybody,

On the issue of climate change, what do you think about this NEWS: “Typhoons cause Japan’s famed cherry blossoms to bloom early”?

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for my absence but I had the flu.

I read the various posts and the question presented by the moderator.

The topic is both very interesting and challenging, expecially for those working in the silicon valley to think of an innovation that allows to reduce energy consumption and is economically sustainable.

I would like to mention the event from the San José Mayor’s office on “Leading Climate Innovation – The Silicon Valley Way” September 12, 2018.

Here is a short official video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Uure251aZE

Silicon Valley is promoting widespread micro-generation. It eliminates the production of energy from fossil fuels and joins wind, photovoltaic, biogas, and the ability to always store energy.

It is a system that immediately reads increases or decreases in consumption and allows to balance energy production and consumption from renewable energy sources (the software checks average consumption and manages reserves).

Please find here below the link with the explanation:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microgeneration

What do you think about it? Will this be the future implemented in Silicon Valley?

    Have a nice week,

    Giorgio

    Hi Guys,

Maybe I did not explain myself. Looking at Elon Musk’s curriculum, I find it unlikely that he should commit certain ingenuities on twitter. We are talking about the person who invented “Zip2”. Have you ever used the application to extract a zip file?

He was one of the founders of “X.com” (it will be named Paypal the following year). I think everyone knows the company I’m talking about. Elon Musk financed the creation of Tesla, in part with the proceeds from the sale of Paypal to eBay.

For the tweet: I do not think everything was done by “mistake”.

So, I told myself, did anybody ask himself the same question?

I would like to know your point of you.

    Looking forward on your comments.

    Hallo to everybody,

I’m Giorgio Galli, and I’m a third-year Economics student at University of Eastern Piedmont of Novara. I’m a curious person and I believe that the right of information mainly consists in searching for the good one. My past experience during my scholar year in the soccer team made me understand the importance of team building. Last year I also had the chance to participate actively in a project for the launch of a new product for one the biggest Italian food global player.

Considering that I will have to face the world of work shortly, hearing about “Silicon Valley Study Tour”, I have thought that it would be an amazing experience to live. Today all young people must increasingly measure themselves with global technology, even while they are studying, in order to open their minds to 360 degrees. Silicon Valley is the cradle of global technology that changed the world. It set new standards to the approach to global markets, as well as changing the concept of economy and the way it affects people in their daily life. Therefore I am very interested in visiting personally the place where everything started.

What the topic suggested by the moderator concerns, whom I thank for, I agree with the comments of the participants, but I also ask myself whether we can think out of the box and regard at things from another point of view:

given Elon Musk profound knowledge of the social networks, couldn’t he had intentionally caused the earthquake that followed around himself and his company?

Awaiting for your comments, I wish meanwhile all of us a good week.

    Giorgio Galli
